Well, I should have known something would happen...right!!!
I tried the pie crust recipe today.
Tonite we had a 5.6 megawhatever earthquake...I live in Oklahoma..for pete's sake.
This is the second earthquake I've felt in a 24 hour period.
Everything was shake, rattle, and rolling...I don't like it...nope..not at all.
I haven't felt the ground shake under my feet like that since hubby first kissed me.
Oh, about the piecrust.
I promise I followed the recipe to the letter!
Why didn't someone tell me the pie crust would stick to the waxed paper.
It was a comedy of errors to say the least...what a disaster.
It would be funny if it wasn't so sad.
Just as I was getting things all put away and cleaned up..all disappointed and sad.
We have to have a flipping earthquake when hubby was in one part of the house, and I was in the other.
Someone on FB said it lasted about 45 seconds...mercy!!
I don't know about you, but when something like that happens, I run for the hubby.
He's my security blanket for storms and unexpected calls and ...well, you know.
Tomorrow's another day, if we make it..
Don't want the earth to move tonite, I don't know if I can take it.
and that's the way it happened..
tonite at the little house on Rt.3

OMGosh! Earthquakes in OK? I missed it on the news, I guess. Scary stuff, that! AND it sounds like your pie crust was a bit scary too! How did it TASTE? xo Diana
ReplyDeleteWe had our shaker on Aug. 26th... what a surprise THAT was.
ReplyDeleteI've been through several earthquakes and they are scary to say the least.
ReplyDeleteI mostly wanted to say I LOVE your header photos and the song lyrics. Beautiful!
Yikes! That is scary. We get them here in Montana, but I haven't felt one in years. Glad it all came out okay except the pie crust. :) Kit
ReplyDeleteI've heard about the earthquake on the news. Sounds like other than your nerves, that you are safe and sound. Did you suffer any physical damage to your property?
ReplyDeleteHope today, that you can get back to baking pies, and that you won't have any more earthquakes.
